Starlings in Tidy Street and Sydney Street

By Kim Curran, North Laine resident

Starlings, not seagulls, have taken over a leafy outcrop between Tidy Street and Sydney Street (October 2016).

The colony of more than 100 birds chatters boisterously each morning just before dawn, flies off an hour or so later, and returns in waves to roost about an hour before dusk. You hear them squabbling as they settle in for the night…

Have you spotted any wildlife in North Laine yourself – maybe badgers, foxes or other creatures? If so, add a Comment below and tell us about it.
